NEW YORK -- The San Antonio Marshals' RB was a landslide winner Friday in balloting by a nationwide panel of 50 sports writers and broadcasters who cover the league. (S) Boija won the MVP award by amassing season totals of 557 att, 2570 yds, 19 TD, 7 rec, 29 yds, 0 TD.

"I really accept this award on behalf of the team and the organization because there is no way I would have accomplished this much without everyone creating a winning environment," (S) Boija said after receiving the award.

NEW YORK -- In his own view, TRUE (S) Pierce put together his best professional season in 2027. How appropriate, then, that he is The Associated Press 2027 Defensive Player of the Year.
